Children's Art Classes Spring 2014

Art classes will resume after spring break.  

There are two 4-class series of children's art classes.

MONDAYS Ages 4-6 from 4-5pm-  April 28, May 12, 19, June 2  cost- $110

THURSDAYS Ages 7-10 from 3-4pm- May 1, 8, 15, 22 $110 

These art classes focus on drawing and painting.  We work on various projects that are technique based as well as experimental.  Please email me if you would like to sign your child up for a class or have any questions.  The classes are held in my dining room, but with the weather turning nicer, some of them might take place in my outside garage studio.

Children's Art Classes March

Mondays 4-5pm  March 10, 17, &24 cost $100
Ages 4-6

Thursdays 3-4pm March 13, 20, 27, & April 3 cost $110
Ages 8-10

Wednesdays 3-4pm March 12, 19, 26, & April 2 cost $110
Ages 7-9

All three of these classes are focused on drawing and painting.  The younger classes are more experimentation so that they can learn the tools of an artist, while the older classes are focused on drawing what we see and learning the techniques of an artist.  All classes learn about light, form, perspective, and subject.  Please email me if you would like to sign up or for more information.

Adult Art Classes March 2014

Adult Art Class March Session

March 13, 20, 27, and April 3 Cost $150 (includes all materials)

The next daytime adult art class session begins Thursday, March 13th.  This art class is a very informal, but very lively.  For the first part of classes we work on experimental art in our sketchbooks (this involves watercolor painting, drawing, collaging, and other art forms).  During the last two classes we work on a project, such as an acrylic painting.  The project will be decided upon during the first class.

Acrylic Painting Class

2 Sessions- March 19 &26 from 8-9:30pm $75

In these classes we will paint and acrylic painting- subject of your choice.  In the first class we will begin the painting, shading in the background and creating the subject and in the second class we will finish up and paint in all the details.  Please email to sign up or with any questions.

Thursday Art Class 3-4pm 

January 23rd, 30, February 6th and 13th 

Ages 8-10

These classes will involve drawing, painting, collage, etc. and revolve around FUN:)

COST:$110 per session for classes and all materials. (Does not include a sketchbook).

Adult Art Classes 2014

Adult Daytime Art Class

Thursdays 11AM- 12:30PM, January 16, 23, 30, Feb 6, 13, 27

In this class participants will learn about, experiment with, and use many types of artist’s materials in different art forms including watercolor, gouache, stamping, collaging, stenciling, and the list goes on. In these classes you will learn much about art techniques, as well about yourself and the type of artist you are.  We will work in sketchbook format for the first 5 classes, and for the 6^th class we will paint an acrylic painting using the previous work as inspiration.  Please note, these are very informal classes taught in a more intuitive learning way, not in a traditional manner.  If you have any questions, please email me.  This class can hold up to 5 students.  The cost is $175 for 6 classes- includes all materials except for sketchbook.   All levels are welcome!  Please email or message the studio to sign up.

Adult Nighttime Art Class

Wednesdays 7:30-9:30 January 15, 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 26

This class is the same as the daytime class (please see  description above).  Please note that if you would like to work on paper as opposed to in a sketchbook, that is fine as well.  Drop ins are welcome if there are less than five regulars signed up.  Please email me with any questions!  This class can hold up to 5 students.  The cost is $175 for 6 classes- includes all materials except for sketchbook.   All levels are welcome!  Please email or message the studio to sign up.

Adult Night Classes

Adult Art Sketchbooking
Wednesdays 7:30-9pm , Ongoing, $20 per class
This is a very informal class in which we experiment with many different media and techniques.  In this class we draw, paint, collage, stamp, and beyond.  Please email the studio with more questions or to sign up for emails.

Thursday Drawing Basics Art Class

Drawing Basics is a 6 week session from Sept 19-Oct 17 from 11am-1pm.  If you are interested in joining, please email the studio.  The nature art journaling class is cancelled.
